On Saturday, 4/6/09, the VEX Robotics teams from Harriton High School and Lower Merion High School competed in a qualifying event at Summit High School in Summit, NJ. Both teams performed really well: Lower Merion received 2nd place and Harriton received 3rd place. Lower Merion also received an Excellence award which qualifies them to compete at the world competition at the end of April in Dallas, Texas. LMHS Technology Education & English teacher, Rich Kressly, who co-advises the LMHS Technology & Engineering Club recently received the prestigious "2009 Woodie Flowers Award."
